~What I Collect~
So, I love really weird and random things. It only makes sense that the artwork I enjoy reflects that. Sometimes it's so weird and out there that I don't quite understand what it means or represents but it's still something I enjoy looking at.
The first artist I will present to you is Nagai Hideyuki.

This Japanese artist makes these cool illusion pieces using shading and two notebooks or a folded piece of paper. He also tricks the eye by cutting out sections of the paper to make the image look as if it is rising up from it. His content is a little random to me but the technique is on point.
Hideyuki also does surreal drawings and has recently dabbled in mixed media combining his drawings and photography as one.

| He even does large scale paintings such as this one, made of four panels. |

The second artist I will present to you is Cyril Rolando

Rolando is a French artist who specializes in the dreamy world of surrealism. His works are normally monochromatic and usually focusing on cool colors. I remember the first piece I ever saw from him was a woman whose hair turned to waves. This was such an eye opener for me honestly! His works have an element of fashion, grace and dance to them.

Lastly I present to you... Cyriak Harris

So this guy... he is crazy trippy. At least his art is. Hailing from England Mr. Harris, or as he goes by Cyriak on his YouTube channel, makes interesting videos to say the least. There are no words to describe what these videos really are. You'll just have to see it for yourself.

This one is just really weird.
MEOW by Cyriak
This one is one of my favorites if not THE favorite. I absolutely love this video. I think it's cute.
TRIGGER WARNING
!!WARNING!! STRONG LANGUAGE Ratchet - Bloc Party
This is a music video he has worked on for a band called Bloc Party. For those of you with weak hearts, this has some "strong language" in the lyrics.

What Inspires Me?
My awesome boyfriend inspires me. My little brothers inspire me as well.
Macabre artists inspire me as well.

Michael Hussar
I find I'm most creative right before I go to sleep and right before I get out of bed. I'm never really inspired during class, but classes that I don't like I'm more likely to daydream and come up with ideas.
I define art as an extension of oneself. It's a piece of whoever makes it. I think it's larger than visual communication. Art is a lifestyle. There is not a place where you could go where there is no shape or color or form. Art is inescapable.
I like very Victorian styles and also minimalist styles too. I really am inspired by artists who can make two things that don't seem like they should work, and make them work. I also like oriental design.
In film I enjoy creative transitions and ethereal cinematography.

Muy Bien
For my good and bad designs, I decided to use fashion designs.
This is the:
GOOD
I love this design because of the odd proportions. It really emphasizes the fullness of the skirt. I also like how muted and dainty the colors on both the dress and the model are. It makes for a very feminine design.
I like the drama these designs use without having to use strictly black. I also like the watercolor look which doesn't seem like a method most would use for a costume design for a villain or evil person but I like the soft silky looking fabrics along with the black.
Anything Disney related is fine by me and these inspired gown designs are so beautiful. I like how they reflect each characters original designs.
I love these colors and I enjoy this collection. It has a very day to night vibe and I like the contrast from very sharp and stiff lines to the flowy tops and gowns.
Muy Mal
For my good and bad designs I decided to look at fashion designs.
These are the:
bad
Where even is his shirt? This just looks absolutely weird, even for the runway. Yes his abs are great, but this is just... weird.
This screams 80s prom and the 80s were quite a terrifying time for fashion.
I dislike the designs themselves but I do like the palette.
This reminds me of the Japanese nine-tailed fox mixed with crab meat.
This design grosses me out. It looks very unnerving. I understand these designs were nature inspired but the design for it is very disturbing to me.
